Crossfire

When Ms. Worthington said we were going to be watching a debate show called Crossfire with Jon Stewart as a guest, i could tell that it was going to be a very interesting debate show. I have never seen or heard of the show Crossfire before but from the name alone i could tell that there would be more arguing than debating, and that was what it turned out to be. From the opening statement made by the democrat about how the show was black vs white, left vs right, and the Red Sox vs the Yankees, you could tell that the hosts were going to be very biased in their opinions and that their debating or arguing isnt really going to help anyone. When Jon Stewart appeared on the show moments later he was wearing a more casual type of outfit while the other two had on suits and some form of a tie. He was able to bring a feeling of calmness to the show. When Jon Stewart first talked his words were "why do we argue?" and he then repeats that throughout the show and soon after describes to the two hosts that the show is doing more harm to america than anything else and that they are only helping the politicians. After this it seems these comments made by Stewart offended the republican wearing the bow tie and soon comments from everyone were then aimed at hurting the other person or the other persons show. Soon after this the republican says "i liked you better when you were on your show", describing that he only likes a guest that doesn't point out the flaws with his TV show. This just goes to show that Stewart was right about the show the entire time. It proves that the show is more fake than real just as he compared it to professional wrestling where most things are scripted. After watching this clip and hearing that the show got canceled i can now see why. It was a poorly executed debate show and Jon Stewart was able to point that out and make more people recognize it.
